I love working with people who desire vision and clarity in their lives. For the past 14 weeks, I have been able to watch a group of fantastic women grow, learn and inspire one another toward brighter futures. My company is proud to partner with the Pregnancy Resource Centre to deliver a 14 week employability skills training program for women under the age of 30 who are facing barriers to entry or re-entry into the workforce after having children.

This initiative has been so exciting on many different levels, including the enthusiasm of the participants, the 30 plus women in business who have volunteered their time as guest speakers, mentors or as job interview sites. One of the endeavours that the group had to accomplish was to plan and implement a community project. I am sharing this poem as the project ended up being called The Power of One.

The poem had great meaning to all of us as it is so true. One song, one story or one vision can make a difference even with just one person. However, when many people come together under that one vision, the potential is amazing. I am so inspired and hope you are too!
