Shifting The Landscape of Doing Business

  |   confidence, leadership, motivation   |   1 Comment

There is a new game in town and that game is called perspective. The way in which we perceive we are to do business has accelerated into many different possibilities and with that you can’t deny that the ideals and demands of this new generation of work has evolved and is specific about what they need to be productive, successful and happy.

Evidence of this can be found from the continued elevated statistics that show anemic employee engagement with substantial increases to disengagement and absenteeism rates. There is also the  increasing number of people choosing contract work over full time employment, and in general there is a proven societal distrust of the traditional institutions and structures of day to day business as can currently be seen in sectors such as politics, religion and corporate business.

A new generation of entrepreneurial leaders has emerged that are pushing the boundaries of acceptable business practices. They insist on creating businesses that exist for a reason beyond profit. They are seeking purpose and meaning, and view their businesses as the vehicle for leading a global socioeconomic shift. They understand that profits are essential, although not at the expense of what’s important to the organization, or to them personally. These leaders are courageous and bold in their pioneering efforts to craft this new way of being in business. We are creating an eco-system that supports the learning and evolution of these newly emerging structures and systems by helping to build purpose led businesses from the inside out.

“A new generation of entrepreneurial leaders has emerged that are pushing the boundaries of acceptable business practices.  They insist on creating businesses that exist for a reason beyond profit.”

Why would you want to build your business from the inside out? What exactly does that mean? Building a business from the inside out means defining the reason that the business exists beyond making a profit, and connecting that purpose to the brand values that drive the behaviour of every person in the organization. In a truly purpose led business, it is from this core that strategy and operational decisions are made.

Once the core of the business has been consciously shaped and defined, it becomes an abundant energy source for everyone involved in the business including employees, suppliers, partners, customers and investors. This clear energetic source becomes the fuel for the accelerated growth of the business. This is how purpose led businesses attract aligned participants rather than pushing out noisy messaging, campaigns and information.

This framework helped me get out of some of the stuck points I had been experiencing in my business.  This revolutionary way of seeing energy allowed me and my business to thrive.
