My Goals Are As Big As My God
I have been inspired all weekend by this simple idea.
I reminded myself of how often we limit ourselves of what we believe is possible for our lives. What is impossible to us is totally possible for God however it is how we choose to live our lives that makes all the difference. God never promised an easy life but you can have a fulfilled life in Him and that is what I choose for my life. Life is hard at times, there is no doubt about it. For me, it feels like a constant exercise in trust, allowing God to take me through the process of refining me, teaching me, moulding me and preparing me for the next level of my development. I have learned that what might seem like a standstill in my life is usually just a time of waiting. In fact it is a necessity at times so that I may come to a deeper understanding of who I am and how I can be used to impact our world; developing a deeper walk in my trust and dependance on God’s plan for my life.
I am a woman of faith. Quite simply, I love Jesus. I trust and I believe with all of my being that I am called to greatness by Him. Not greatness in me as in the number of likes or followers I have on social media, or the number of books I have written or even the amount of people I have spoken to but rather greatness in knowing that I am uniquely me. There is no one like me and there is no other time than right now to step into that understanding and purpose for my life and LIVE IT!!!
The truth is I have been judged, ridiculed, gossiped about and looked down upon for my faith. Equally on the other side of that I have been so fortunate to inspire others and be a catalyst for change for many. I am not in the business of competing with anyone. Those that feel the need to judge, compete or ridicule are thinking too small for their own lives and feel the need because of it to pick on others. I am however in the business of giving all of me and constantly stretching my potential – and trusting in the call that God has purposed for my life.
Do you feel you are called to a bigger purpose in your life? Maybe you are feeling you are not where you currently want to be? Take heart dear friend. Consider yourself “in school”. You may be in need or right in the midst of stretching yourself out of your comfort zone. Why? Because quite frankly that is where the best fruit is found.
It is in our discomfort that wisdom is found.
It is in our discomfort that fear is faced, confidence is born and a new understanding of what is possible is formed.
It is in our discomfort that God can teach us the most about ourselves and it is in this place that we are often more willing to rely on His leading.
It is also in this place that we continue to learn what trust means and requires from us to grow, teach and propel us forward to the next level of our character, of our impact and of our greater calling in Him.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
